CHAN CHANG HOW

Chan Chang How 陈长豪 (b. 1943, Singapore - d. 2016, Singapore) and he is a member of the Singapore Watercolour Society. Chan’s interest in art flourished since young and he graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1965.
Chan’s watercolours are striking for their broad, translucent brushwork and lyrical detailing of light and shade. This latest solo exhibition gathers a selection of 26 watercolours composed in the last decade. Comprising old and new Singapore street scenes, vanishing trade and enchanting sights captured during his trips to Bali and Nepal, Chan presents colourful moments of life observed from beautiful, unusual angles.

2009, his watercolour paintings were selected to be published in the French Art Magazine - Pratique des Arts in December issue

2012, Attended Indonesia Watercolour Society opening ceremony with his works printed in magazine
